The CtrlConnect story
Born out of a problem we kept running into, now trusted by 100+ IT teams to keep their tenants under control.
Microsoft 365 changed the way organizations work. Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive made collaboration effortless, and that is exactly where the trouble began. Every new team, guest invite and shared link made the environment harder to oversee. IT admins were left piecing together reports, chasing site owners and hoping nothing sensitive had slipped through the cracks.
We know this because we lived it. 2026 by Andrew van den Heuvel, CtrlConnect started with a team of Microsoft 365 consultants and administrators who kept running into the same problems at every organization we worked with: sprawl nobody could keep track of, access rights nobody remembered granting, and governance policies that existed on paper but not in practice. The native tools were powerful but fragmented, and the alternatives were either too complex or too rigid.
So we built CtrlConnect. Our goal was simple: give IT teams one place to see what's happening across their tenant, automate the routine work, and bring business owners into the process so governance stops being a bottleneck and becomes part of how people work.
Today, CtrlConnect helps organizations 100+ customers keep their Microsoft 365 secure, compliant and organized without slowing anyone down. We're still the same team that cares about getting the details right, and we're still building the tool we always wanted to use.
